Sandy Rusera Chief Executive Officer

As CEO, Sandy Rusera is tasked to lead Prime Energy to become one of the largest local IPP in Rwanda, as well as expanding the company in the region. Previously, Sandy worked at the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning for more than four years, with his last position being the Director of Capital Markets and Investment Schemes.
Sandy is a graduate of Loyola University in Chicago with a Master’s of Science in Finance.

Joe Nsano Chief Operations Officer

As COO, Joe Nsano is in charge of overlooking the finance, funds mobilization, and internal organization of Prime Energy. Joe, a former banker, has a vast experience in resource mobilization and project coordination.

Kris Gahiga Chief Technical Officer

Mr. Kris GAHIGA is an Electromechanical Engineer with over 25 years of extensive experience. He possesses a unique blend of technical, financial and legal skills and his experience covers the development, operation and the financial structuring of the hydro-power projects.

Manuel Rodrigues Project Manager

Mr. Manuel began his professional life working for the Portuguese Air Force. After 6 years at the Air Force he then moved to the sector of civil engineering, developing an ample spectrum of work during more than 26 years for several project management and consultancy companies, private and public entities. He is a strongly experienced professional, mainly focused in the water, hydro-power and other renewable energy fields, with international background in remote locations and a quick pass in oil and gas. He has undertaken different responsibilities and scope of works for local and municipal utilities, health system facilities, infrastructure, small building construction and bank consultancy. He holds a MSc in Civil Engineering, a BSc in Military Sciences and also a HSE manager diploma.

Mr. Fraterne D

Mr. Fraterne D is a Civil Engineer with professional experience in engineering projects. Over the years he has established himself as an expert in supervision and construction works mainly in roads, buildings and hydropower plant projects. A combination of skills has shaped and given him potential and competencies to undertake projects to full completion and commission. Fraterne focuses and specializes in transforming a project idea to reality.

He holds a degree of MSc in Project management and BSc in Civil Engineering.
